Death Valley National Park

March 2020

Just before the coronavirus forced all of us to shelter in place, FeFe and I made it out to Death Valley for a quick weekend getaway. It was an awesome place to spend two days. So many different landscapes! The best part was our evening hike through Golden Canyon to watch the sunset over the Paramint Mountains and a surprise moonrise over the glowing Red Cathedral.

Yosemite National Park

July 2019

This was FeFe's first time at Yosemite (my third). We hiked one of my favorite trails in the valley - Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point on day 1, then explored Vernal Falls and Tioga Pass on the second day. We even got lucky and saw the moonbow! A truly unforgettable experience.

Antriksh and Harshita

March 2019

Antriksh and Harshita are getting married soon, and they asked me to take some pre-wedding photos for them at the Palace of Fine Arts. It was a super fun photoshoot! They were so easy to get along with and pose. Check out the photos here, and congratulations to the soon-to-be newlyweds!

Karen and Dean

December 2018

Karen and I have been friends since college. She and her fiancee, Dean, got engaged a few months ago, and when they came to the Bay Area, I took their engagement photos. It was great to catch up with an old friend again. Congratulations Karen! Looking forward to your wedding :)

Glacier National Park

August 2018

After five years, FeFe and I finally finished our Ph.Ds, so we decided to celebrate with a vacation to Glacier National Park. We thought the views would be hard to top those of Banff, particularly since a wildfire closed down significant sections of the park and spread smoke throughout the park's main areas. We were so wrong! Glacier's smooth, flowing mountain ranges were a completely different vista from the jagged edges of Banff, and the hike to Grinnell Glacier was the most beautiful 6 miles I've ever hiked. I can't wait to go back (preferably without the smoke!).
