Kevin and Sunny’s Engagement

Kevin is one of my oldest friends, and I was elated to hear he proposed to his girlfriend, Sunny. Over a year later, they finally came out to California to attend a friend’s wedding and asked if I could take some engagement photos for them while they were here (and of course I agreed immediately!).

On a crisp Monday morning in August, we met up at the Monalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. The grassy lawns and gardens are beautiful, so it’s normally packed with people, but on Monday mornings, it’s almost deserted, so we had the entire place to ourselves!

We took a break for lunch, and in the late afternoon, we headed off to the Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay. Our timing was impeccable - the setting sun lit up the majestic hotel, manicured golf courses, and the beachside cliffs with a beautiful warm glow.

Photographing Kevin and Sunny was so much fun, because they were such an easy couple to work with, easily making each other laugh at the smallest and silliest of jokies and mistakes. Thanks for the great time!
